Our Home Environment

Our Maine Coons are raised inside our home as part of the family, not in cages or isolated areas. They grow up in a spacious, enriched environment designed specifically for large, active cats like Maine Coons.

Our home includes custom-built climbing walls, elevated platforms, cat trees, and play areas that allow the cats to explore, jump, and exercise naturally. These vertical spaces encourage healthy muscle development and help satisfy the Maine Coon’s natural instinct to climb and observe their surroundings.

We also incorporate cat wheels for daily exercise, allowing our cats to run, burn energy, and stay physically fit even when indoors.

This combination of space, enrichment, and constant human interaction helps our kittens grow into confident, social, and well-adjusted companions.

Nutrition & Feeding

Maine Coons are a large breed that require high-quality nutrition to support healthy growth, strong bone structure, and proper muscle development.

Our cats are fed premium Royal Canin Maine Coon kibble mixed with wet food, providing a balanced diet rich in natural protein, essential nutrients, and added moisture. This combination supports healthy growth, strong bones and joints, proper digestion, and a thick, healthy coat.

We also also provide multivitamin supplements Kitty Bloom (VM 900+3 and Lysine), which contain vitamins, minerals, and taurine to help support growth, immune health, overall development, and long-term wellness.

Litter Training & Litter Box Recommendations

All Mischievous Maines kittens are fully litter trained before going to their new homes. We use Tidy Cats clumping litter, which is easy to maintain and widely available.

In our cattery we use and recommend the Litter-Robot 3 or Litter-Robot 4 automatic litter boxes. These systems help keep litter consistently clean, reduce odor, and minimize daily scooping—especially helpful in multi-cat homes. Many owners find them well worth the investment, and used units can often be found at lower prices on sites like Facebook Marketplace.
